The Need for Clarity
Clarity is what I want and need at this point in my life. Without it I either mumble or I make stuff up.
The Bible says that…”without out a vision the people cast off restrain.” Literally, it means people give up without some semblance of clarity for the future. We all need to know. I have often said the obedience is not the problem for me (although, sometimes it is), it’s knowing what to do. Granted God is mysterious – I even like that, but to have an idea where you are going is critical to vibrancy and hope.
Following the Missional Jesus
"If the Church is to be missional rather than institutional, we must begin with a clear understanding of what that mission is….Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church, the Lord of the Church. Christ cast the only ballot that counts. Since Jesus Christ is the owner of his Church and thus all of its local expressions, we do not get to dream up the mission for our congregation."
