imagining how the church can reorient around mission

Walking_Away You, full of mercy and longsuffering, hopeful and longing,

You created a nation and a people to live with, to love with,
to continue with.

But we…

We are stiff and reckless, drinking
from parched wells,

We hunger for so much other than righteousness,
yet thinking we are,

We smile and sing, but in our
inside, where no one else sees, are chalky and dry.

But You…

You seek, accept and envelope us
even when we do not deserve it,

You give food, and drink and touch
and future.

But we look the other way living only our way, toward us, we
choose to journey the easy, this self-life,

But we…but You!
